I've been away on family and climbing trips but have recently returned to the studio. Took the family to San Diego. We all enjoyed Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. I also made a trip to southern Utah to paint (Zion NP, Johnson Canyon, etc.) and visit the Bingham Gallery. The Bingham is getting ready for their annual Maynard Dixon Country event to be held Aug. 28, 29 & 30. I am not participating in this years event, but I encourage you to go if you can. Lots of great art and good times in a beautiful location.
The top painting is of Monument Valley (8x10), the next is a study of some Grand Canyon ridges and shadows (9x12) and finally the bottom is a corner of the Superstition Mts. east of Phoenix (18x24).

That's some good new work, Bill! Glad you had a relaxing time. I'll be back in Sedona for the Plein Air Festival in late October, and then Trina and I will be back again starting in early December. Hope to see you guys (and to paint again with you) soon!

Craig, I'm climbing "A Little Nukey" on Power Dome, Courtright Reservoir, CA. It's a super-classic face climb, maybe one of the best 5.9s I've ever climbed. I spent a couple of days there last month with an old climbing buddy.
