The landscape paintings I create are an expression of my lifelong enjoyment of nature. When I'm not painting I'm usually out rock climbing or trail running. These trips often result in new ideas and refrences for future works. I enjoy plein air painting, but believe that time in the studio is equally important. This is in addition to my favorite job as a "stay-at-home" dad. This blog will focus on the art with references to the outdoor and family experiences to which it is intimately tied.

These are both lovely. The first is riveting because of the lovely light in the distance. The second is stunning and exhibits all of those things I am trying to achieve in my latest work.
Good luck with the show.
Thanks again Mick for your comments. The show went well (the GC piece here sold). I'll post up about it soon.
Hi Bill!... Love the great aerial perspective, design and tonal control that are always so strong characteristics in your desert work!
I particularly love the snow scene in this post... very soft and moody!
Well done!
Good Painting!
Regards,
Bruce Sherman
Thanks Bruce. The snow scene is one of my favorites from the show. I put it in a really nice silver leaf frame. I don't usually use silver frames often, but they seem to work with some winterscapes.
