The landscape paintings I create are an expression of my lifelong enjoyment of nature. When I'm not painting I'm usually out rock climbing or trail running. These trips often result in new ideas and refrences for future works. I enjoy plein air painting, but believe that time in the studio is equally important. This is in addition to my favorite job as a "stay-at-home" dad. This blog will focus on the art with references to the outdoor and family experiences to which it is intimately tied.

Fabulous painting! So sorry to read about your daughter's leg, but hope she's doing OK.
Wonderful color and space in that painting.
And thanks for the info on National Parks. I was unaware.
Thanks, Adele! Sarah's doing fine.
And thanks A., The Canyon always fascinates - and it's only 2 hours away from me!
Nice painting, Bill! I bought my $80 Interagency Annual Pass when I went to Utah - and it's already paid for itself, what with 4 trips through Zion NP, 1 through Bryce NP and 1 through Lake Powell.
I always sneak in the back way ;-)
