Home from Sedona and Zion

I'm back from a couple of weeks at the Sedona and Zion plein air events. It was the first time I had the opportunity to do back to back shows. I had a great time, but this left a lot of things undone at home, hence the long time between blog posts. The top painting is a scene from Zion and the other two were done during the Sedona show. The top two are 12 x 16s, the other is a 9 x 12. I tried to pace myself over the two weeks, but about midway through the Zion week I was getting a little bleary-eyed. However, I managed to do about the same in output and sales in both shows. Thanks to all those involved in putting these events together!

During the Sedona festival I also did my first oil painting demo. It was supposed to be plein air, but it was cold and rainy that day, so it was held inside a large room in the Barn building behind the Sedona Art Center. Below is the 12 x 16 painting I did for the 40 or so people who attended.
Since being home I've been busy in the studio getting ready for the Tempe Festival of the Arts, Dec. 3, 4 & 5. I'll be in booth #1230 on Mill Ave. between 5th and 6th streets. I hope to see some of you there!
Have a great Thanksgiving!

More lovely quality work. What were the events like in terms of artistic dialogue? I seem to remember that last year you met up with a number of other WC colleagues. Are sales healthy in your part of the world at present?

Hey, thanks everyone. Mick, I'm having a fairly good year, sales are about what they were for me last year.
