The same weekend that I'll be busy with the Tempe Festival of the Arts one of my Grand Canyon paintings will be part of an auction to help raise funds for Phoenix's Hospice of the Valley organization. This painting is a bit more impressionistic than the work I typically create, but I like how it turned out. Purchase some art, or other interesting item, and help out a good cause!

Aaha! An Auction of Heirlooms and Art will be held at 6 p.m. March 27 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa, 2400 E. Missouri, Phoenix. Proceeds of the live auction and dinner benefit not-for-profit Hospice of the Valley, providing end-of-life care to patients and families in Maricopa County for more than 30 years. $200 per person; corporate tables start at $3,000. In an earlier post I mentioned that I'd been picked to be the Featured Artist for this springs Tempe Festival of the Arts . As the featured artist for the event I have been given a 10' x 20' booth space (twice what I normally have!) at the shows central location at the intersection of 5th St. and Mill Ave. I've completed a lot of new paintings for this show and I look forward to finally seeing them framed and hanging on the walls! In the shot above I'm working out some framing options in my studio. Exciting times, but there's still a lot of work to do! The show will be held on Fri, Sat & Sun, March 26, 27 & 28, from 10 am to dusk. I hope to see you there!
