The Phippen Museum Western Art Show is well behind us, but the memory of this great exhibit still lingers. The show was well attended and many of the attendees went home with one of my landscape paintings. I was also honored to pick up the 2nd Place Award in oils and the award for the Best Body of Work! The second award was sponsored by Montgomery Frames of Tempe, AZ and came with a prize of $ for frames. I can't wait to get down there and ordered some of their excellent frames.
That was a great surprise - thank you Montogmery Frames and the Phippen Museum!
Prior to the Phippen Show we had the opening at the Ian Russell Gallery. It was a lot of fun and was followed up with many sales that coincided with the Phippen Show. The gallery and booth created two venues of my artwork for the weekend. At one point I was carrying artwork from my booth into the gallery so that the collectors could compare artworks. They ended up buying three paintings! I brought some new work to the gallery this week. Stop by and check it out.
Now it's time for the opening reception and show at the Raven Cafe in Prescott. I'll have 15 paintings there along with Jody Miller's fine equine photography. The cafe is a true Prescott original and I'm happy to have my work there for this show. Plus they have some really great beers on tap!
The opening reception is 5-7 pm June, 13th - be there!!
Also getting ready for the Telluride Plein Air at the end of the month...
